Objective

This project is built around two scientific and technological objectives with significant impact on the customization and lightweight fabrication of complex products: (i) exploration of new ideas and development of innovative concepts for the hybridization of WAAM with metal forming throughout the different stages of a manufacturing route (the so-called ?strong interaction between WAAM and metal forming?), and (ii) extension of the applicability domain of an in-house finite element software to material deposition by WAAM along complex three-dimensional paths, ensuring its capability to model the hybridization of WAAM with metal forming
