IDMEC receives FCT funding from several projects. This is acknowledged in the webpage of each such project.
IDMEC also receives funding from FCT through LAETA, under projects UIDB/50022/2020 (Base Funding) and UIDP/50022/2020 (Programatic Funding, Jan 2020 – Dec 2023). Among the goals of these projects are the increase of research and innovation projects, the reinforcement of LAETA, the increase of highly qualified human resources, and the creation of scientific jobs. These projects have resulted in increased scientific publications, in the organisation of scientific events, in international collaborations with other R&D entities, in the participation in R&D projects, and in the creation of job positions in science.
As of 2024, funding is acknowledged in publications as follows. These references to project extensions will be altered in 2025.
- When publications are funded through one or more centres (financiamento base): “The authors acknowledge Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) for its financial support via the project LAETA Base Funding (DOI: 10.54499/UIDB/50022/2020).”
- When publications are funded through one or more thematic lines (financiamento programático): “The authors acknowledge Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) for its financial support via the project LAETA Programatic Funding (DOI: 10.54499/UIDP/50022/2020).”
- When publications are funded through both centres and thematic lines: “The authors acknowledge Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) for its financial support via the projects LAETA Base Funding (DOI: 10.54499/UIDB/50022/2020) and LAETA Programatic Funding (DOI: 10.54499/UIDP/50022/2020).”
